Also used to measure kinematic viscosity of liquid (cutback) asphalts and road oils at 60°C (140°F) in range of 30 to 6000 centistokes according to ASTM D 2170. External pressure can be applied to vary shear stress and shear rate. Specifications conform to ASTM D 446 and ISO 3105. Individually boxed. Calibrated viscometers are supplied with a certificate of calibration and instruction sheet. Viscometers have the serial number and size printed on the outside of the box and on the viscometer. Minimum sample volume 12 mL. Require liquid bath depth of 229 mm (9"). Holder is not supplied. See Thomas numbers 9726M50 and M53 for holders.
